Updates!

It's been awhile since i've posted anything. I need to start signing on here as much as I do on Facebook!!

Life has been keeping Joel and I busy. Thanksgiving was great. We had dinner at my parents which was smaller than normal with having my Grandma Madd and Howard, my Aunt Chris, Uncle Andy and cousin Kate. Kat, Brent, Nick and Stacy showed up for dessert later in the evening.

On to the baby news. Joel and I have decided on the nursery colors, finally! We are going with a deep teal, cream and brown....might add a hint of burnt orange. Now onto finding the bedding and other details!

We are trying to take pictures every week as my belly is starting to get a little bigger! We purchased a new camera today (it was our Christmas present to eachother) and can't wait to start taking pictures of my growing belly and the baby!
I will try my best to update the blog more often. Ashley...try and remind me :)

The News is OUT!

Joel and I are expecting our first little Bean in the beginning of June! So far I've been feeling pretty good for 11 weeks. The only times I've been nauseous are in the evening and I'm crossing my fingers that will go away very soon!

We have already settled on a little girls name and have yet to decide on a boys name. Either way we are waiting until he or she arrives to annouce the name because we are not finding out what we are having :)

I have had 3 ultrasounds with the last one showing a strong heartbeat of 168 bpm. The old wives tale says that's a girl...but ever since I became pregnant I had a feeling that I was having a boy. I guess we will find out in June!

We have finally informed all of our family members and they are extremely excited for this little peanut, as are we! Last Sunday, we were fortunate enough to visit Grandpa Heeren in the hospital to announce our news. Gpa Heeren is currently coming to an end with a battle against Prostate Cancer. I am asking for all prayers be lifted towards Grandpa Heeren. We love you!

Beginning of this adventure

I never thought I would be creating a blog, but here we are. All thanks to ms. Ashley Marie!

We don't have many exciting things to report on, so i'll keep it simple for now.
